I have got the van running since digging it out of its resting place, it only needed a new ignition coil to get it to run and fired up straight away still on 18 year old fuel! It is obviously going to need a full and comprehensive service before using it but it can be driven for loading purposes when its collected The bonnet is very good! The front panel is rusty but the good news is I have a very good one here to replace it which will be included in the sale Some of the usual CF rot spots are amazingly good, the front door steps and wheel arches/rocker panels are rust free and the soundest I have seen for a good few years. There is some rust on the rear wheel arches, but easily repairable, the tops of the front wings has some bubbling as does the lower edges of the rear doors and the drivers front door. It has been waxoiled which has preserved it well, the underneath is very sound and as far as I can see requires NO welding. The CF has the 2.3 petrol engine with a 4 speed manual gearboxĪs you can see from the enlarged pictures the van is in quite sound condition. The van is being sold as an easy restoration project or for parts. The CF was last used in 2000 and was parked in its garage and left after the owner sadly died.
